At the northern side, there is Whochen Thokjay Monastery.

Dharmachakra Mahavihar

A lama came to Kathmandu from Bhutan in 1843 during the reign of King Ran Bahadur Shah. Lama built a monastery in Swayambhu and this monastery is now called Dharmachakra Mahavihar. Gumba is on the right in front of the Harati temple. In this Gumba, there are statues of Buddha, Mane etc.
